UN uses blockchain technology to register property in Afghanistan!
The United Nations intends to use blockchain technology to solve a number of problems such as land records management. Whether or not this blockchain project will achieve transparent, secure, and systematic online land records management and affiliated services in Afghanistan, the project is nonetheless promising.
The United Nations has given the Afghan government a blockchain program that could address the issue of seizure of lands in urban areas.
Housing Planning Committee said in a statement issued on December 2nd that it would submit a digital property registration plan to the Afghan Ministry of Urban Development and Land in December.
The United Nations first introduced this blockchain project in 2019 to develop vulnerable areas in Afghanistan.
Currently, with this blockchain registration program, the United Nations is helping one of the most important challenges in Afghanistan's urban residential areas. These problems include illegal seizure of lands, improper land use in unsafe areas.
